Roleplaying is like writing, You have to have a purpose. You need to eventually include the Character, Relationship, and details about thee character(s). Also role-play a meaningful character... Don't play a Mary-sue you have to have flaws or the roleplaying gets boring quick. With out character, relationship, and a reason your story can go like this: "Hi!" he said smiling... "Isn't it past your bedtime?" she said quickly... and so on. What do you think is the most important thing about role-playing? vote in the attached poll. - Leagcy

I know its locked and old, so i'll write it in post, I'd have to say purpose, or plot. There is no sense in throwing your charactors out there and just have them talk all day, plot, plan, do something.
