Hazelstep had watched it all, the wind that had caused Mouseblaze to lose their balance and thus fall down a waterfall. The cat was now coming to Star Clan with a purpose, a purpose that Hazelstep had done for his clan already. Going to where the newly deceased cat was upon entering Star Clan, a kind smile was on the light ginger and white tom's face.
"Welcome to Star Clan friend." Hazelstep said in a kind voice. "I am Hazelstep."
Should I tell him I'm from Luminous Clan in life? We're both in Star Clan in the end and that is what matters. Hazelstep thought in his head.

Mouseblaze entered StarClan with a confused look on his face. "Am I... dead?" he asked, looking around the starry land. From above he could see the waterfall that had killed him, and the camp near by. Would his Clanmates even notice he was gone? After all, he hadn't told anyone that he had been going outside of camp, so it was possible they wouldn't even realize.

"Yes, you are." Hazelstep replied. "You drowned."
Fell off the waterfall and drowned to be exact but it was really drowning that killed the tom. What should he tell him? Should he tell him about the danger and send him off right away? No. Mouseblaze needed to relax.
"Take a few minutes to let it sink in." Hazelstep said, trying to be helpful.

Mouseblaze stared around StarClan for a moment longer, blinking a few times in the process. Returning his gaze to Hazelstep, the tom infront of him, he asked the question that had been on his mind since he had been pacing up and down above the waterfall. "Why am I here?" he said, quietly. He was sure he wasn't dead and in StarClan by chance.

"We need you to send a message to your leader and medicine cat, it is very important." Hazelstep explained. "I was tasked with sending the message to the leader and medicine cat of Luminous clan."
He paused for a few minutes to allow this part to sink in. It was best to take this slow. Hazelstep was shocked when he learned the news that he was to send a message to them.

Mouseblaze stared at Hazelstep. Why me? he thought, confused. "Why me?" he asked out loud, "I'm nothing special, just a regular warrior. Why would I be chosen for something so important?" It was only a fraction of what he wanted to ask, but he didn't want to bombared the LuminousClan tom with question. LuminousClan. It felt odd, being so close to a cat from another Clan. But, after all, it was StarClan. He supposed it was acceptable.

"I wasn't special either. I was just a regular warrior like you in life." Hazelstep said. "Star clan wants you to do this and they have a reason. The reason, I don't know but I think they've chosen well."
Hazelstep's death was different then Mouseblaze's. He died in defending a loner along with his apprentice; though he sent his apprentice back to camp. But the light ginger tom didn't think he was special, he saw himself as normal.

"So, what am I suppose to do?" Mouseblaze asked, sitting down on the starry ground. His bright amber eyes gazed around StarClan again, looking for a cat he might recognize.

"You must go to your leader and medicine cat and tell them 'Unite or die by icy betrayal.'" Hazel explained. "If the medicine cat isn't there then go to the apprentice."
Simple but that was all. There was nothing else that he could say and that was all that Mouseblaze could say in the message.

Flameleaf and Shatteredstar, the leader and medicine cat. He let out a breath he hadn't realized he's been holding. "How? When? Where?" he asked. Again, these were only a few of Mouseblaze's questions, but he decided to keep th rest for later.

"Go down to the clan camp, if they are asleep then it will be easy for you to enter their dreams." Hazelstep explained. "If they're alone but awake, speak to them. They'll hear and see you."
It was understandable, these questions. It was a very important task for the tom before him, Hazelstep was greatly confused when he was told to give the message.

Mouseblaze opened his mouth to speak, but a sudden wave of sureness swept through him. He looked up and met Hazelstep's eyes. "When. When can I give the message to Flameleaf and Shatteredstar?" he asked, ready to do his duty. After all, the sooner the better.

"Whenever you are ready, however it would be best to do it soon." Hazelstep said, keeping his gaze on Mouseblaze.
The message needed to be delivered as soon as possible yes, but it would be best for Mouseblaze to be prepared for it. However it seemed that the tom before was ready.

"I'm ready," Mouseblaze said, glancing down and noticing for the first time his brown paws were dotted with stars and slightly see-through, "I'm ready to go." His heart was beating 10 to the dozen, his paws hurting from sheathing and unsheahing his claws.

Hazelstep nodded his head and rose to his paws, taking a glance down to the camp that Mouseblaze belonged to for a moment and then turned his gaze to him.
"Then go." Hazelstep said. "You must deliver this message alone to them, good luck."
