Mouseblaze appeared in Shatteredstar's den, the night cold outside. His heart was still beating 10 to the dozen, even more so now, but he forced himself to keep still. Your a StarClan cat, stop being scared of your old leader, he told himself sternly, opening his mouth slightly to scent the den. Taking one step forward, he placed his star-dotted brown paws silently on the ground, and went over his words in his head. Unite or die from an icy betrayal. Taking a deep breath, he whispered into the silence. "Shatteredstar."

Shatteredstar had stayed up really late thinking about how the clan was settling in she was glad her clan finally had a medicine cat and a medicine cat apprentice. She had just fallen asleep when she heard a voice whisper her name. Her eyes immediately opened and she was instantly wide awake when she caught sight of the starry form of one of her ancestors. She sat up in one fluid motion and faced Mouseblaze instantly recognizing Mouseblaze. She was sat to see that he was now dead he had gone missing and they hadn't found his body everyone had thought that he had run away or something. "Greetings Mouseblaze, I'm so sorry this shouldn't have happened to you," she meowed. "Why have you come to me? Does Starclan have a message for me?" she asked the tom tilting her head to the side so that the injured side of her face was showing. The left side of her face looked like it had been smashed in and that was exactly what had happened.

Mouseblaze noded at his leader, and felt the apprehension ease away slightly. "StarClan does have a message for you. One I am meant to send," he took in a deep breath to ready himself for what was to come, "Untite, or die from an icy betrayal."

"Betrayal, who dares to think they can betray my clan," Shatteredstar hissed her fur spiking along her spine she was both angry and scared of what the message would bring. It was clear that Starclan was trying to tell her that someone was going to betray her clan. "All of my cats are loyal," she meowed now confused yes in fact all of the cats did seem loyal. She just didn't understand how anyone could betray the clan of course Starclan could be talking about a cat who had yet to join. She didn't know and she wanted to know more, "What has everything come to," she murmured she had thought that after her mother and sister had treated her like and outcast that would be the end of feeling betrayed.

"I wish I could tell you more, Shatteredstar," he said, with a polite dip of his head, "I this is all I have been told." Thoughts rose in Mouseblaze's mind, thinking about who would betray their Clan.

"I don't blame you Mouseblaze even I know that Starclan can't see everything," Shatteredstar meowed flicking her ears back and forth. "The clan was worried about you when you didn't return if I had known that you were going to die I would have kept you in camp," she meowed glancing at the tom.

Mouseblaze smiled slightly at Shatteredstar's words. "I died for a reason. My purpose was to give you this message, and I'm glad to be able to do something for my Clan, even if I died in the process," he told her, waving his starry tail.

"I suppose Starclan isn't so bad but dying is still bad. I'll think about what you have said I won't tell the clan though. There is no reason to cause a panic, when you panic it clouds your judgment," Shatteredstar meowed. "Hopefully I'll be able to find the traitor in time," she meowed.

"Look after the Clan, Shatteredstar. You are a noble leader," Mouseblaze told the she-cat, bowing his head once more. Slowly, he faded out of Shatteredstar's den, leaving the leader to sleep.

"I'll look after the clan. I won't let my clan die out," Shatteredstar meowed. She watched as Mouseblaze faded away probably going back to sleep. After he left she went back to sleep.
