Appereance image{Optional]; DARK
Description of pelt; Dark lives up to his name. His fur's thick and pure black. It hides his scars, which there are quite a few of, and keep him warm in Leaf-Fall/Leaf-Bare. His fur has no greyscale or anything. He's simply black. Just black. It makes him look quite a bit bigger than he actually is, and when his fur is wet down (as it will be when he's first found by LuminousClan) he still looks scary and large but not as large.
Description of face; Dark has small ears. That's pretty much the only small thing about. His burning amber eyes can't really be described as a 'warm' shade so much as a 'go burn in hell' shade, and everything about
Description of body features; Dark's a very big cat. He takes after his father for pretty much everything about him. He has an extra long, feathered tail, large paws and a large size, with long fur making him look even bigger. He could've probably been a decent hunter with the training, but his father focused on the fighting aspect, so he lacks any of the skills used only in hunting.
Other features; Beneath Dark's thick black fur, lies a patchwork of scars. After his father's brutal training sessions, his thick fur's useful, as it hides most of his scars. There are too many scars to count, and most cats don't get close enoough for long enough to see.
Entire appearance description; Dark's a large, muscular tom with long, thick black fur that hides a patchwork of scars beneath. He has a long, feathered tail, large paws and burning amber eyes.
Physical abilities;
Personality:
The positive section; Are there any good things about Dark, you're probably asking. Not really. The only really good think about Dark is that he wouldn't hurt a fly. He's big and imitating, but he wouldn't intentionally hurt a cat unless they were hurting him or the very few he cares about. He fights for the survival of himself and the very few cats he cares about, though most don't see the gentle brut behind his size and imitading - well, imitating everything really.
The negative section; Dark lives up to his name. He's dark. He has a dark mind, a dark heart, a dark everything. He's seen so much in his young life that his mind is full of dark memories. His heart is always heavy, never carefree or fun-loving. Dark's very cut off. He's anti-social and hates being around too many cats.
The neutral section; Dark's imitating and kind of scary. No cat wants to mess with him, so he's pretty much safe without even doing anything. After his long, hard past, he'll only fight if he needs to, but them he'll fight like he did with his father: for his life. When annoyed, he can be short-tempered and snappy, thgouh he doesn't actually hurt any cats physically. Just mentally. A lot. He's quite blunt and can seem harsh, but really he just speaks his mind and doesn't mind what others think about it.
Likes; Living alone, climbing, his sister (Sky/when he eventually meets her)
Dislikes; Fighting (after his father), Clan life (at the beginning), being weak

History: Dark's history is.. well, dark. He was born in a hollow tree. His father wanted a fighter, a son, a cat used to kill others. And he almost got what he wanted. There's a backstory to Dark, before he was born, that's probably worth knowing about. So, let's travel back around 20 moons *queue Doctor Who/time travelling music*
Well, how did Dark come into the world? To answer that question, you have to take a look at his mother, Honey. This she-cat lived up to her name of being as sweet as could be, helping everyone and everything in sight. She was a lover not a fighter. She met a heavily injured tom by the name of Scar. Unlike Honey, who was a small, dainty, pale ginger and white she-cat, Scar was a heavily scared, HUGE jet black tom. Scar was definetly not a lover. He was fighter throguh and through, but, for some reason unknown to even Honey herself, the she-cat fell in love with him. He was rough and fierce, yet bittersweet when it came to Honey. Eventaully, he asked Honey to be his mate. And she agreed. Just goes to show, the worst things happen to the best people. Scar laid low for a while, until one day, he asked Honey to carry his kits. Once again, she agreed, not realizying it would neaarly kill her. So, Hony became pregnant with Scar's kits. Since Scar was such a big tom, the kits grew quickly inside her and made it difficult to move or do anything. There seemed to be quite a few kits, and they were big kits. When the time came, Honey settled herself in a hollow tree, ready to give birth to her magnificent kits.
Like I said, she didn't realize her kits would nearly kill her.
Five kits. Two sunrises of pain. Honey lost a lot of blood. Scar didn't do much, simple watched and gave Honey food and water. When all five kits had been born, Honey was exhausted, bleeding. Slowly dying. The status of her first litter was terrifying. Out of five kits, two had been still born. One born sickly. The other two were relativly healthy, though one was much bigger than the other. Only one tom. Even though the sickly she-cat would probably have died eventually, Honey wanted to try and save her daughter. Before she could give her kits names, Scar killed the sickly she-cat, saying he was 'putting her out of her misery'. That was the first time Honey caught a glimpse of the real Scar. She named her two remaining kits, Sky and Dark.
Now, this is where Dark's story begins. Since he was the strongest and only tom of the litter, he'll be targeted by his father as Scar's apprentice. Honey died when the kits were roughly 2 moons old, just old enough to survive without their mother's milk and live off their father. So, now was the time for Dark to be targeted. Sky has growned a little sickly after her mother's death, and now Scar didn't want the weaker she-cat holding back his young -too young- apprentice. So, he heartlessly abandoned Sky in the same tree where she had been born and the same tree where her mother had died. The sickly sweet scent of honey was still around, and Scar dropped the coughing she-kit and walked away. And, at last, Scar turned to Dark and started his forced training. At only 3 moons, Dark was pushed through brutal fighting training with his father, claws unsheathed, and every night he would go to sleep bruised, beaten and hungry. After about 4 moons of this, Dark creapt out at night, to the tree where he had been born. He could smell his mother's faded scent and that of his sister, leading away in another direction. He curled up in the hollow tree and fell into a sleep of dark dreams and nightmares swirling around his head as he had the closest to a nice sleep he'd had since his mother had died.
He woke to his father watching over him.
So, once again, Dark was trained, harder and harder. By 10 moons, Dark could just about beat Scar in most fights, though he still went to sleep bloody and injured. His emotions were worned away to anger, his heart darkened until it was almost nonexcistent. And, at 12 moons old, Scar told Dark he was 'nearly there'. The training got harder from then, but Dark could still almost rip his father to shreds everyday. But, he didn't. After 2 more moons training, Dark's father told him it was time for his final test. A huge, short-furred fiery ginger tom loomed out of the forest, and Dark's blood instantly ran cold. The tom settled himself in a lazy battle stance, and Scar stood beside Dark. "Fight him and beat him' Scar whispered in his son's ear as the ginger tom lunged. The only thing Dark remembers is the flash of ginger fur, a stream of blood and a metalic taste in his mouth the whole time. At least, taht's what he tells everyone. Really, Dark remembers everything in detail. Too much for his liking. Every claw swip, every bit, every battle trick. If Dark really wanted too, he could replay the whole fight, directing anotehr cat to be the ginger tom. It's hard to forget the fight that nearly killed you. After what felt like hours but was probably just a few minutes, Dark gave up and fled. H ran quite ungracefully in the opposite direction, paws skiming the earth. Nobody followed him, and after a while he stoped, breathing hard. He'd passed a few scent markers, though he had lost to much blood to understand them and didn't recognize them anyway. His thick black fur was sticky with scarlett blood, and he stumbled closer to the noise of cats. One pawstep placed wrong sent him tumbling face down into a river. He hit his head on a stone floating in the current, which half-knocked him out. He was carried down the stream until he regained enough strentgh and conciousness to haul himself shakily onto the shore. The noise of cats floated to his small ears on the wind, and he stumbled towards it, legs shaking, coughing up river water. He was still bleeding, and the water behind him was red with blood, but he oushed forwards as far as possible. He clapsed just outside LuminousClan camp, where he still is now.
Accomplishments/Plans; Dark'll rock up on LuminousClan territory half-drowned and injured. He'll join, but unwillingly. Maybe he does belong as a rogue. But, maybe Clan life'll bring out the better in him *crosses fingers*.
Extras: Sky isn't dead, and she'll probably go up for adoption at some point. Unless I RP her myself.
